Do I need RV insurance if I live in my RV?

What happens if I don’t get RV insurance?
If you get into an accident, collision, or if your RV is stolen or vandalized, you will have to pay out-of-pocket for repairs or replacement.
Can I reduce coverage while my RV is in storage for the winter?
Yes. Some insurance companies will allow you to reduce your coverage to comprehensive if your RV is stored for more than 90 consecutive days.
Is my personal property insured while it’s in my RV?
Personal property can be insured in multiple ways. You can add personal effects coverage up to $50,000 to replace items that are not permanently attached to your RV. This includes items such as clothing, recreational equipment, and electronics.
Am I protected if we have family and friends over?
If you have liability insurance, you may be protected if someone is injured in your RV. You will need to check your policy to be sure. If it does not, then you can add vacation liability coverage. Sometimes called “campsite” liability coverage, it protects you if someone (other than a family member) is hurt at your campsite, or in your RV, while it’s parked.
